The Light House Keepers formed in Sydney in 1982. They released numerous singles and LPs and undertook countless national tours. In less than 4 years, they became one of the hardest working bands in the country with performances in most cities and towns in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, A.C.T., South Australia and Western Australia. They left Sydney in 1985 for six months on a tour of Europe and the UK and played their final performance on Good Friday, 1986 to a record crowd at The Graphic Arts Club, Sydney.
The compilation CD, Lipsnipegroin was released in 1992, six years after the band's break-up. It is still being distributed in 2000.

(Another song from the "Tales Of The Unexpected LP" in 1984 which came about during the 'crossing of Australia' period. The Light House Keepers made numerous crossings of the Nullabor Plain from Sydney to Perth & back. In all expectations, the LHK must have travelled 100,000 miles or more of road with many a tale to tell.)

WHISKY & GIN (1983) 1317Kb
(Wonderfully recorded in bathroom at 44 Hugo St, Chippendale. If you listen carefully and turn up the volume, ethnic radio (aka interference) can be heard on the line just after the fade out - this depends on your cpu system - clearly audible on CD)

LEGLESS (1986) 1637Kb LIVE
(probably from a live recording at the Graphic Arts Club in 1986 - the band's last performance)
