he is on report and could very well be sitting out the rest of the year,
and some of next year.
79th

80th
min: The Dragons have won. The Knights will not get a week off, and the

37 min: Ferris (Eagles) comes off the field with what looks like a broken

HALF TIME:
Plenty of whistle blowing from Referee Steven Clark and plenty of controversy.
Saints look to be the better side with two tries to one and have had their
chances with a number of tries going begging. Plenty of spirit from both
sides but the finshing could be better. Penalties heavily in favour of
Eagles (8-2) are keeping the home side well in the game although they may
be facing the second half with two less men on the bench.

- Saints. Justin Smith scores after 2nd man set play. Gorrell conversion
attempt midway touchline and goal unsuccessful. Eagles 22-18
79 min: Exciting finish to game. Eagles get their 11th penalty (penalty
count 11-2) but a Hopoate pass is intercepted by Peters (Saints) who runs
80m. In the next play Saints send the ball wide and Saints' winger, Matt
Cooper only needs to finish the movement and the scores are level witha
kick to come. The video ref replay shows Cooper has knocked on by a matter
of inches and the Eagles pull off an extraordinary win.
SUMMARY: A great win to the struggling Eagles side. The match itself had
more than its fair share of action and controversy. Often marred by poor
handling from both sides but an entertaining day for the Brookvale crowd.
For Saints,
they now have to re-group with the knowledge that have only won one game
after eight rounds. The Eagles will savour the victory but look to have
lost their goal kicker Jason Ferris for some time following images of his
left arm wrapped in plaster.
