Australian
selectors have added four St George Illawarra
players - Dragons captain Trent Barrett, centre
Matt Cooper, prop Jason Ryles and lock Shaun
Timmins - to the Kangaroos train-on squad.
They join Newcastle's Danny Buderus, Ben Kennedy
and Matthew Gidley as well as Parramatta's
Nathan Hindmarsh and Cronulla's Brett Kimmorley
in the squad.
The selectors have overlooked incumbent Test
prop Luke Bailey and NSW centre Mark Gasnier
who were both hampered by injury in 2004.
Bailey played for Australia against New Zealand
in the Anzac Test earlier this year but has
since missed four months with a torn pectoral
muscle. Gasnier was a stand-out for NSW in
the third State of Origin match but has been
sidelined since with a cracked collarbone.
The
Kangaroos will tour New Zealand, England,
France and the United States with the squad
to be finalised after the grand final.
