Luke Bailey to miss Kangaroo tour

St George Illawarra front rower Luke Bailey will miss out on the upcoming Kangaroo tour so he can have ear surgery.

Bailey was named in the national train-on squad earlier in the week but has now been ruled out.

Its understood that Bailey has been experiencing hearing difficulties for some time.

Other St George Illawarra players picked in the squad, Shaun Timmins and Mark Gasnier, are also in doubt with injury.

Gasnier is recovering from a quadricep muscle problem while Timmins is still trying to overcome an on-going knee injury.
