St
George Illawarra halfback Brett Firman has been
ruled out of this Fridays clash with the Broncos
in Brisbane following confirmation that he will
have a shoulder reconstruction.
Firman

tommorrow.
It
is the second reconstruction in two years for Firman
who was forced to sit out most of 2002 with Sharks
following an operation on his left shoulder.
Firman,
21 is expected to be out for up to six months but
should be fit for the start of the 2004 season.
In
other news, Dragons forward Henry Perenara will
also have shoulder surgery tomorrow and should be
able to start training in six weeks time.
Dragons
coach Nathan Brown is hopeful centre Mark Gasnier
may be able to play but Lance Thompson will definitely
be out.
