Dragons to play

The St George Illawarra
Dragons will celebrate the end of their first week
back in training for the 2003 NRL season with a charity
cricket match at Hurstville Oval this Sunday.
The Dragons will field
two teams in a Super 8s cricket contest with the St
George Cricket Club at Hurstville Oval, as well as
lining up in a touch football match.
All members of the Dragons
squad of almost 60 players will attend the annual
event. Donations collected at the gate from all players
and spectators will go to charity.
Team 1 will include
new Dragons coaching consultant, Laurie Daley. Dragons
chief executive officer Peter Doust will also participate.
Senior players Lance Thompson, Mark Gasnier and Ben
Hornby will also be playing alongside new signings
Henry Perenara and Don Dixon.
Team 2 includes Dragons
seniors Mark Riddell, Luke Bailey and Trent Barrett
and new signings John Cross, John Wilshere and Brett
Firman.
The cricket matches
follow a week of fitness and strength testing, skills
work, weights and cross training.
