Former St George winger,
Nathan Blacklock may return to the Dragons in 2003
if rumours are correct.
It's understood that
Blacklock has expressed interest in re-joining his
old club following the appointment of Nathan Brown
as head coach for next season.
Last June, Blacklock
left the Dragons mid-season after being granted
a release. He then signed a two year deal with the
NSWRU and joined Rugby Union's Southern Districts
club for just $110,000 per year.
The leading National
Rugby League try scorer for the previous three seasons,
Blacklock is reportedly unhappy in Rugby Union where
his opportunities have been limited. It is also
understood that the former Kangaroo is not pleased
with the Australian Rugby Union's anti-League stance.
It was revealed last
August that Blacklock wanted to return to Rugby
League in 2003 and had approached the South Sydney
Rabbitohs only to be told that Souths didn't have
a place for him.
