18/09/02

Written by: Steven Williams

He fought back and after undergoing surgery and returned this season to represent New South Wales for the State of Origin series.

Timmins also represented Australia for the July Test against Great Britain and scored a try in the Kangaroos' 64-10 victory.

Last night's award was decided by votes of the first grade players and coaching staff wh plced Timmins ahead of team mates Luke Bailey and Ben Hornby.

Award Winners:
Shaun Timmins - Integral Energy Medal Player of the Year.
Ben Hornby - Geoff Selby Memorial NRL Coaches Award.
Mark Riddell - Red V Members Player of the Year.
Craig Stapleton - Mark Coyne Award - First Division Player of the Year.
