Dragons 33 defeat Tigers 22

The St George Illawarra Dragons have posted their first win since round two with a resounding victory over the more fancied Wests Tigers side at WIN Stadium tonight.

Saints came back from a 10-nil deficit to out-muscle the Tigers who have crashed to their third consecutive loss.

Representative duties, injuries and suspensions saw the Dragons without a number of their star players. Bailey, Cooper, Barrett, Blacklock, Gasnier, Ryles and Timmins were all absent from the Dragons side.

Half back Willie Peters, hooker Aaron Gorrell and back rower Lance Thompson (stand-in captain) led the side to a much needed win.
