1. The line starts at Nathan Blacklock's shadow which is front of him.
2. Brett Firman kicks the ball which is visible in front of the red line.
Somehow, video ref Steve Clark thought this was offside and Blacklock was disallowed a try which could have been a turning point.
At worst, Blacklock was equal and in line with the kicker.
It's hard to fathom how the vid ref came to his conclusion and why 'benefit of doubt' rule didn't come into play... but then again, it wasn't our day.
