Amos Roberts copped some criticism for dropping this
bomb but this pic clearly shows that he was taken out in the air before
the ball hit his chest.

Jason Hooper and try scorer, Nathan Tutt.
|
A case of what could been. Seconds before halftime, Matt
Cooper only needed to fall on this ball to score but instead he tried to
pick it, fumbling in the process.
|
1. Roosters defensive line, about as far as they got
back.
2. Ref Tony Archer makes the mark
3. Barrett rushing forward to take the tap.
|
The
next ruck and still the Roosters are offside.
There
are overlaps left and right and Saints would
have
scored but Ryles spills this ball and its all over.

Full time

Tony Archer. Awful, a disgrace, absolutely pitiful.
Unable to keep the ten metres. Went penalty mad in the
first 15 minutes then penalty soft in the final 15 minutes. Missed loads
of forward passes. Completely wrecked the spectacle with a terrible decision
right on full time when he allowed the defending team to repeatedly commit
professional fouls. Perhaps the worst referee in the NRL.
